Consultation

The following local contraindications will not prevent treatment but your therapist will avoid the contraindicated area:

  • Cuts/Abrasions

  • Bruising/Swelling

  • Skin Conditions (Eczema, Dermatitis, Psoriasis)

Please seek medical advice prior to booking a Manicure treatment if you have any of the following. Medical permission in writing would need to be obtained:

  • Undiagnosed lumps and swellings

Please do not book for a Manicure treatment if you currently have any of the following:

  • Infectious skin diseases (Impetigo, Scabies, Chicken Pox or Mumps)

  • Broken bones

  • Ringworm

  • Fungal Nail Infections

  • Paronychia (whitlow)

Pre-treatment Advice

  • Please remove all nail varnish if possible prior to your Manicure appointment

  • Please ensure you have any Gel polish or any form of nail enhancements removed prior to your Manicure appointment.

Aftercare Advice

  • Please leave adequate time after your treatment to allow your nails to dry

  • Nails will be touch dry after 20 mins, allow 1 hour for nails to be fully hardened & avoid putting hands in water for 4-6 hours after appointment (if possible)

  • Wear protective gloves when gardening or doing housework

  • Dry hands thoroughly after washing

  • Daily Cuticle Oil - Massage into the cuticle before bedtime

  • Hands & Body Moisturising Emulsion - use generously for hands, arms feet & body

  • Every 2-3 days reapply Brilliance (top coat) after the manicure to maintain your manicure between appointments

  • After 7 days - Professional Jessica Manicure or remove polish & reapply

  • Always file natural nails in one direction, with a professional nail file
