Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment
Drink plenty of water. Water helps the body flush out the toxins
Practice deep breathing exercises and relax your shoulders
Avoid drinking alcohol, tea and coffee. These contain toxins and can dehydrate the body
Eat light meals and include fresh salad, vegetables and fruit
Allow yourself as much time as possible to continue to relax
Find a time for regular gentle exercise
Find time for regular relaxation
Eat a healthy, balanced diet
It is perfectly normal to feel a little different after having a massage. Therefore you may experience the following:
Headache
Nausea
Thirst
Sore throat
Tiredness
Aches and Pains
This is only temporary, and is due to the flushing out of the toxins released by the massage treatment. Drinking plenty of water and herbal tea often helps reduce or alleviate these symptoms.
